Hints & tips
Summer biking
Being out in the summer months on your motorbike can be an exhilarating experience. We want to make sure you get the most out of biking in the summer by giving a few tips to make the experience more comfortable.
- Drink plenty of water before and during your journey. Dehydration affects your concentration.
- Ensure you leave enough space on your bike to carry a bottle of water.
- Even in warm weather, ensure you are wearing suitable protective clothing.
- Reduce overheating in your leathers by wearing thermal underclothes as they reduce the amount of heat entering the body.
- Thermal underclothes with long sleeves also make the removal of your protective jacket easier.
- You may become hot in your thermals once you stop riding, but you will soon cool down again when you start moving.
- Ensure you wear protective goggles to protect your eyes from the glare of the sun.
Enjoy your ride!
