Home Emergency Cover
As we all know, accidents are unavoidable. However, Home Emergency Cover can help to deal with those unexpected incidents that cannot go unnoticed:
- Toilet blockages.
- Plumbing issues, such as leaking pipes, blocked drains, leaking radiators and problems with the water tank .
- Problems with the central heating system and boiler, which prevent them from functioning correctly.
- Issues with the property's gas and electricity supply.
- Failure of hot water system.
- Sudden and unexpected roofing problems, such as leaks and tile damage caused by extreme weather conditions .
- Losing your keys to the property and extended building such as, garages and outbuildings.
- Security risks, caused by damaged windows and doors, which may leave your property venerable.
This policy does not cover you for damages that occurred before the cover was taken out or 28days after the beginning of the policy. There are also specific rules relating to the age of goods that are covered for example, if a boiler is over 15years old then any damages or loses caused by it, will not be covered. Due to the nature of this policy, only unforeseen circumstances will be covered. Although Emergency Home Cover is there to deal with accidents that occur; it must be remembered that it is, primarily, your duty to do your best to prevent an emergency; take all reasonable and recommended precautions, ensure that your home is well maintained and that any issues are looked into immediately rather than left to escalate.
